She walks the hallways
A bad-ass attitude firmly in place.
She jokes around,
But her eyes tell a different story.
The drugs in her pocket weigh heavily on her soul.
She promised a friend,
But she’d never let her know.
Get high when that friend wouldn’t know.
She’d be surrounded by people,
Yet she felt she was all alone.
She promised a friend,
She thought I’d never know.
She’d get high and think I wouldn't know.
She’d be surrounded by people,
Yet I could see that she thought she was all alone.

Author's Comments

Yes, this comes from personal life experience. It's about a friend of mine who, no matter how many times I say I'm there for her, she still thinks that she's all alone. There will be more about her, since she's going through a tough time right now, and I am too, so I need to kind of express pain through a way that's not me. (Guy problems, ulg. Why do guys have to be such jackasses and be so irresistible at the same time?)

But, this isn't about me, so, enjoy.

I know! I seen this and I said: "I love him..." I was talking to my friend online and she had gotten to see it before me because I was house-sitting and I was staring at the screen. I had to watch it like, three times. I was mesmerized. He is, dare I say, the perfect Edward. No, wait, he's better than the perfect Edward, he IS Edward now.

I've had friends like that and the more I tried to help them the more they wet to drugs or guys.
